    Default Aggressive campaign AI?

    Post here with anything you know about how to make the campaign map AI more aggressive, and more successful at taking and holding territories in general.

    A few possible factors that have occurred to me:
    City density
    Unit build time/cost
    City wall levels
    Mountains and other isolating features
    The New Conquests Mod for RTW:BI
    Conquer a whole new world.

    Just make sure the AI factions have plenty of denari and population. Forget the isolation features, I found the AI works better with room to move or maneouver.

    somewhere theres a post on making ai/factions attack by sea sorry dont remember where, but i do recall its a simple two word addition,

    I agree with IceTorque. The AI builds their armys in an analog with a factor who consider money (first) and population (second). More money=better armys.
    But a factor of the quality of the army is the default strategy which every AI faction has from the begining of the campaign as described in descr_strat.txt. Like ''faction romans_julii, comfortable caesar''. That give a base of the behavior of the AI. The change of that gives a more expanding or defending AI. But not in big degree.

    "comfortable caesar is the ais strategy on what they build not there aggresiveness best way to make ai aggresive is to give the ai triggers so they get command stars more easily than the player's faction but mainly it is money and population

    In my mod BareBonesWars I have enhanced the aggressiveness of the AI army with
    -big BareBonesMap
    -mix of the army depending on settings in desrc_strat.txt: eg "balanced napoleon"
    -lot of money and population for AI
    -command star trait system from SPQR Mod
    -the starting friend/enemy constellation of a fraction (descr_strat.txt)-->the more enemies the more the agressive force of the AI is dispersed.
    -less cities with walls: faster AI expansion, less sieges

    BareBonesWars 8.1 for RTW 1.5
    Integration Mod which combines unique strategic challenges due to a 4 Season scripted campaign from 280 BC - 180 AD on several big/small maps and with an ruthless AI on the battlefield.
