RTW/M2TW Screen Resolution Rendering
While eagerly awaiting the TW Shogun 2 demo I decided to play some older titles from the series. I'm running Vista with a GTX280 and 4GB of memory and have a monitor with a native screen resolution of 1600x1200.
STW and MTW work fine and can render in 1600x1200 (although I've had to use this memory fix) to get them to do so.
However, I've encountered a problem with RTW and M2TW. While both of these games games can display in resolutions up to 1600x1200 (the maximum I can get with my monitor), they only seem to render in 1024x768. The rendered image appears to be 'stretched' to the selected display resolution. The graphics don't suffer too much because of this but the information panels are very large and the fonts are blurred as a result of the stretching.
This anomaly occurs whether I run the game in XP or Vista and I've tried running them in compatability mode etc to no avail. I've also verified the same problems with a buddy who has encountered the same results. You can test this for yourself by taking a screenshot. Even when running the game in a higher resolution than 1024x768, the screenshot image (whether captured in the clipboard or taken from the tgas root folder) are just 1024x768 in size.
Can anyone shed any light on this. Has anyone been able to render (not just display) either RTW or M2TW in any resolution higher than 1024x768? Thanks in advance.

The ui panels on both do stretch. Other than maybe some help from the widescreen option there is no fix for either.
