Internet connection timing out? Modem/router/firewall playing games? Update your programs lately including Windows?
It's not my internet, because I can still talk to friends and use my internet browser. All my programs are updated and I have no firewall. It's getting annoying also.
Moved.
I don't know but maybe someone here can help you.
Yeah mate, dont wont to be rude to a much needed new guy on the TWC MP forum.
Is your pc a heap ofand cant handle all the in game info thrown at it?if thats the case lower your settings alot and give it go.
How do you play your games, game list or Quick Battle?
Do you get a connection error along the line? Because then you really need to restart, that seems to wreak havoc on the network code.

Respecto Patronum
I bought computer last year for a thousand dollars, so I'm almost guaranteed it's not a heap of. I play my games off the game list and I get no connection error either, I just can't host or join anymore.I will try to turn my graphics down (from very high) to see if it gets fixed.
I'd say its something to do with your network
Yeah I've just had this too, all I did was verify the integrity of game cache in the properties menu and the game seems to run alright now.
well that is if you ever come back...

Yeah epic fail
this solution only seems to work if you host your own games. If you join other peoples games the problem just reoccurs (If the load up screen shows you as the defender on the multiplayer match list that means your hosting right). I do however have more info though.
The first time I noticed something was when a match had finished my graphics seemed to have adjusted themselves slightly. I tried to have another multiplayer game and I got the error message " Cannot join game unspecified error". I closed napoleon down to check my internet connection and everything was all right though when I tried to restart napoleon I got the error message mutex error (header of the window) "an instance of napoleon is still running please close down all instances of napoleon before retrying".
I closed steam and opened up windows task manager and under the processes tab 2 versions of napoleon.exe were still running. I had to end process on both of these, verify the cache again before I was able to restart napoleon and join a multiplayer game.
Any help on this would be appreciated as I'm not prepared to go through this process after every match.
Cheers.

Deffo the network, and I would assume there is either a program or a firewall blocking it, simply because its always happening, not a one off.
Below is a thumb of my task manager (after I removed napoleon.exe) would anyone know which program may be causing this

Is Epson Status Manager connected to a wireless/network printer?
Not sure what the Netgear app is...
Anything run by Windows except the firewall wouldn't really have an impact, though you could try turning Media Player Sharing off (I know that likes to scan the network)
Finally, could be an app on the Sidebar
I guess you need to experiment turning different things on and off, the firewall shouldn't necessarily be an issue, but it helps to check whether NTW is completely unblocked.
Is there an odd Service in Task Manager you notice? Might be worth a look.
How did the graphics appear to change? Was it like a minor resolution change?
I think when you minimized or closed NTW, it crashed, hence the process carried on, so that might be easily explained, and obviously if the process was carrying on, you aren't allowed to open it again.
The graphics thing is very odd, but I couldn't see graphics having any impact on the Networking Issue which is your main problem![]()
Yeah epsons my wireless printer. Thanks for the help I'll try turning things on and off. I've been following other forums and a few people have been experiencing the same problem. Someone seems to think the latest client download from steam has been causing these issues. As far as the graphics go they all re-set from my high specs down to medium specs (I've not had a game crash since this problem started).
