So i downloaded the torrents of 1.4 with applied 1.41 patches
Then downloaded the torrent for 1.42
    Then the english translation.

applied in this order into "teutonic" folder (renamed the actual teutonic folder to teutonic old)

    1.4/1.41
    1.42
    english translation

What happens when i load via steam

    1: call of warhammer cinematic
2: then it loads the teutonic cinematics
3: then it brings me to a teutonic camgpain menu with blank ehh tabs; when i mouse over the tabs it's simply ?.

What to do what to do?

this mod goes into its own folder not the tuetonic folder. Look more closely at the installation instructions for either the torents or the main download links.

    Did you also:

    1. Delete steam virtual store

If you are using Windows 7 you need to do the following to ensure that the translation works properly:

    e. Find compatibility folder and delete it, make sure you backup any savegames found there (there might be no saves inside as well):
C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Sega\Medieval2 Total War (default path, could differ a bit)

    f. Install CoW following usual routine.( I did not do this but it wouldnt hurt)

What is happening is some of your essential strings.bin files are being moved to the VirtualStore\Program Files\Sega\Medieval2 Total War folder and cannot be accessed as they are missing from text folder when the game is launched.

    2. turn of UAC and run windows as admin

    UAC is always off

The virtual store doesn't have any sega files; though i found some trash files in there from things i thought removed...

i also set as launch option @mods\Call_of_Warhammer\warhammer.cfg, that didnt work so i created a kingdoms direct shortcut that bypasses the launcher with @mods\Call_of_Warhammer\warhammer.cfg added at the end...that didnt work these two methods simply launched the vanilla game.

I have to also add to the fact that just doing a basic launch; steam, mtw2 launcher, teutonic, the game will splash a teutonic screen, player the CoW cinematic then play the teutonic cinematic but...in Russian?????

None of the above will work unless the mod went into the /mod/Call of Warhammer folder rather than a /mod/tuetonic folder

You didn't indicate you made that change so just reenforcing previous comment.

For those that have steam, Here is a very good post by Gigantus http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=410461
If you use Squids installer and follow Gigantus instructions you should have no problems. Also it will make it easier to play other mods.

Here is an alternative steam fix link http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=414896

As stated by the guys above. Folder must be Call_of_Warhammer

I don't use steam for this but some of my other games that do have to use the -dev string to launch mods. Not sure if that will help in this case.

I don't have it on my work comp but I though it launched from a .bat file rather than the .cfg. I'll look when i get home. Just guessing now.
