Am running 6.4 and in both early and late era campaigns there are no castles on the map.... anywhere, only cities with the ability to build all the barrack, range, stable etc buildings in

Please confirm have you installed Meneth MSC Sub Mod?

Hell-Bent,
I think you selected a sub mod on his installer, that allows cities only, no castles. Please run setup again and de-select that choice, sadly you will have to start again
