Default Chiv2 // Medieval: Total Realism

    http://p223.ezboard.com/fshoguntotal...icID=431.topic

Would be great if you guys made a multiplayer mod for MTW2.
Or at least a mod 'where there will be no sacrifises to Multiplayer in order to get a better singleplayer experience'. :p

It's a bit early (much to early I want to play Chiv1!!), but we can speculate, can't we?

    ---

Caliban (CA Staff): We have been looking at this recently and I should have an answer in the coming weeks. We are looking to increase the hard-coded limitations to atleast 30 if it doesn't cause too much problem with the game.

    ---

    The Papacy
    The Norman-Sicillians
The Holy Roman Empire ( Germans )
    The French
    The English
    The Danish
    The Polish
    The Hungarians
    The Novgorodian Rus
    The Kievan Rus
    The Byzantine Empire
    The Castillians ( Spannish )
    The Aragonese
    The Moors ( Almohads/Almoravids )
The Fatamid Kaliphate ( Egyptions )
The Seljuks ( The Turkish )
    The Horde ( Cumans/Golden Horde )
    The Teutonic Order
    The Kingom of Jerusalem
    The Kingdom of Armenia

What factions will you add if you could have 30 factions?

I don't think the whole Chivalry team will be switching over to M2TW after we do the mod for RTW. At the moment we're going to focus on getting an RTW mod done.

The 30 factions thing is interesting, and I suppose to start we'd add:

The Papacy (we've actually replaced it with Bohemia)
    Kingdom of Georgia
    Venice
Probably a couple more Italian factions

And I have no idea what else

Under the Patronage of Basileos Leandros I, who is under the patronage of Kscott, who is under the patronage of Lord Rahl, who is under the patronage of MadBurgerMaker, who is under the patronage of genghis khan, who is under the patronage of GodEmporer Nicholas

hmm there cant possibly be more factions that we can add over the 21 that are already available LOL. The possibilities.

Yea, finish Chiv up for RTW before moving over, or at least clean up what you have an release it as not to let all the hard work go to waste.

    ...and Kingdom of Georgia.

if kingdom of Armenia is so importent, Kingdom of Georgia is more importent then Armenia, becouse Armenia was a one province Kingdom of Georgia (1124-XV c.c.)

No, I think they're two pals who like to blight the TW forums. I suggest that we leave out Georgia just out of sheer bloody mindedness.

KINGDOM of GEORGIA ! shoud be add in faction list, becouse :

Archangel Gabriel, mural from the 13th-century Kintsvisi MonasteryThe ancient Greeks knew western Georgia as Colchis, and it featured in the Greek legend of Jason and the Argonauts, who travelled there in search of the Golden Fleece. The Georgian regions became known as Egrisi in the western coastal plain, and Iberia in the mountainous east, prior to their becoming unified as a client state of the Roman Empire in 66 BC after the campaigns of Pompey. It became one of the first states in the world to convert to Christianity in 317 AD, when King of Iberia Mirian II established it as the official state religion. In 523, Christianity was declared as the official religion in Egrisi (Western Georgia) as well.

Achaemenid empire at its greatest extent
The 16th century Sno fortress in the eastern Georgian mountainsAlthough they were subsequently beset by various invaders, principally Arabs, Mongols, Persians and Turks, the Georgians retained a greater or lesser degree of independence for over 1,000 years. In 1008 all Georgian principalities were united into the unified Kingdom of Georgia (1008-1466) under the Bagrationi dynasty. This dynasty was established by Ashot I the Great in the end of the 8th century. The greatest representatives of this dynasty were David the Builder (David IV Aghmashenebeli) (reigned 1089-1125) and Tamar (1184-1213), both regarded as saints by the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church. The Kingdom of Georgia of that time also included Armenia, Azerbaijan and North Caucasian territories; the Empire of Trebizond was created as a satellite state by Tamar. Georgia suffered a lengthy period of decline thereafter, broken up into several kingdoms and principalities and finding itself contested by the Ottoman and Persian empires.

In 1783 Russia and the eastern Georgian kingdom of Kartl-Kakheti (which was devastated by Turkish and Persian invasions ) signed the Treaty of Georgievsk, according to which Kartl-Kakheti received protection by Russia.

On December 22, 1800 Russian emperor Paul I, by achieving the request of the Georgian king George XII, has signed the Proclamation on the connection of Georgia (Kartl-Kakheti) and Russia. The Proclamation was announced on January 18, 1801.

In 1810, the kingdom of Imereti (Western Georgia) were annexed by the Russian Empire after the suppression of King Solomon II's resistance.

The Georgian alphabet was invented in the 5th century BC and reformed by King Parnavaz I of Iberia in 284 BC.

Georgia's medieval culture was greatly influenced by Orthodox Christianity and the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church, which promoted and often sponsored the creation of many works of religious devotion. These included churches and monasteries, works of art such as icons, and hagiographies of Georgian saints. As well as this, many secular works of national history, mythology and hagiograpy were also written.

Main article: History of Georgia (country)
Two Georgian Kingdoms of late antiquity, Iberia in the east of the country and Colchis in the west, were among the first nations in the region to adopt Christianity (317 AD and 523 AD, respectively). Egrisi often saw battles between rivals Persia and the Byzantine Empire, both of which managed to conquer Western Georgia from time to time. As a result, those Kingdoms were disintegrated into various feudal regions in the early Middle Ages. This made it easy for Arabs to conquer Georgia in the 7th century. The rebellious regions were liberated and united into the Georgian Kingdom at the beginning of the 11th century. Starting in the 12th century the rule of Georgia extended over the significant part of Southern Caucasus, including northeastern parts and almost entire northern coast of what is now Turkey.

This Georgian Kingdom, which was tolerant towards its Muslim and Jewish subjects, was subordinated by the Mongols in the 13th century. Thereafter, different local rulers fought for their independence from the central Georgian rule, until the total disintegration of the Kingdom in the 15th century.

Well actually I'm from Scotland, but right now I'm living in England. Anyway, back on topic. If you were to make a Chiv 2, then I would definitely recommend boosting the Eastern part of the map considerably (and I wouldn't be averse to scrubbing the Aztecs and America completely and extending the map to Persia). Split Russia into Kiev and Novgorod, add Lithuania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Cilicia, Khwarazm (not 100% sure about the history of Khwarazm, but I think it's about right) and split the Turks into Seljuks and Danishmends. Anyway, you know the usual drill about this sort of thing by now. And perhaps if our guests behave themselves you could add Georgia? To be fair, Georgia was quite important, I suppose. But this is all hypothetical.
