    Default [HoI3] Neutrality

How do I become less neutral? It's the beginning of 1944 and I still can't align myself with the Allies (I'm the US). Japan never attacked Pearl Harbor which is what I was really counting on to get that ball rolling, so now I'm stuck just building up forces very slowly to get ready for an attack.

Go to your espionage tab, find your own coutnries, put the priority up to max (so spies go to your country first - also good four counter espionage later on) and give them the mission to lower your neutrality.
You can also get them to raise your national unity. Its a very slow process however.

Every Paradox game is a low process haha. That's what makes it fun!

Also if you feel a little cheaty; open your tab (~) and type in "noneutrality" without the quotations and your neutrality will instantly vanish into thin air. If memory serves me right, the Japanese AI will almost never directly attack Honolulu. They are simply scripted to DoW you by '41 (provided there aren't a few exceptions, which I forgot) and nothing more really.
