    Default Upgrade dilema and questions.

    Hello all
    Im thinking of upgrading my AM2+ MB{MSI 790 FX}to a AM3 board that supports DDR3 ram. Ive heard the AM3+ boards are due out soon?
    My cpu is the phenom 2x4 945 btw.
    Should i wait or pull the trigger?
    Your thoughts?

    Considering how powerful the Sandy Bridge CPUs are I would say AMD must have something up its sleeve soon. Might pay off to wait.

    Wait. AM3 processors will work in AM3+ boards. So at the very least, you'll be able to get a new board. No point buying anything now.

    No, other way around. AM3 CPUs will work in Bulldozer boards.
