Skeleton animation and elephant javelinriders error w/steam

I'm using Steam and get the same problem that is mentioned in the sticky thread where it says error skeletons unit animations or w/e. I did something similar to what the thread said, but now I get the elephant javelinriders error.

So what do I do if I have the Steam version? Thanks.

PS: If you have RS 2.1a, no need to download the launcher, you already have it.

I get the same problem that the others get, I hit play and the launcher freezes up and nothing happens.
