Default I'm having trouble getting started...

I installed 6.3 like I was instructed to do, then I followed in with the 6.4 update. As far as I know I did everything right. Now when I run Kingdoms off of Steam (I don't know if it matters if I do it off Steam), it runs the mod just fine up to the menu, but when I click "Late Campaign" it asks me to pick an option off the list. There is no list...

    What am I doing wrong?

Also, if I try to run the mod from the shortcut on my desktop, I get a pop up that says it experienced a fatal error.

    Look at this post.

Its for 6.3 but should also be relevant to 6.4

I can't run the game at all now...

I reversed it back to where it was though, so no big deal.

Try uninstalling SS and do a clean install.

you have to run the ss setup.exe before loading the game. did you do that? cause thats the only list i can think of.

Agreed. The SS-setup utility should pop up when you're almost done with the installation. That's the one that let you choose Early or Late Campaign. I had that crashed on me before, and I couldn't get the game going. I need to rerun the SS-setup utility again and everything was fine.

Alright, I reinstalled it and ran the setup like you guys mentioned, but I still can't play. I keep getting the "fatal error" message.

OK, check to see you have done these holy donut...

uninstalled the game with the exe. in the uninstall folder C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\medieval ii total war\mods\SS6.3\uninstall, make sure to delete the 6.3 folder too. (It helps alot if you download the 6.3 and 6.4 launchers and save to desktop of a folder so to keep for future.

download 6.3, do the ss setup (translation - campaign type - sub mods)

then download the 6.4 and do same with ss setup

and that should hopefully fix your problem
Don't forget to rep me if you like something I did/ or not lol
