Default my sceptically towards the new map designs(Minas Yirith and etc..)

as we all know the AI is extremely retarded in siege battles and that a toddler can probably out-class these "hard" AI in intelligence when it comes to catapults and rams.
anyways im scared for the modders putting all their time on these map designs only to have it ruined by AI incompetence.
for example the AI making everyone run through the gate making it a deathfest with the boiling oil raining on their heads or them just standing around doing nothing outside of your city with rams and catapults ready and you waiting on your walls while the AI remains passive.

anyways my point is do you guys have the same worries as i do?

Not really because KK has said that the AI handles custom settlements as well as the vanilla ones (which still isn't that great but hey). The only problematic city is Minas Tirith because of all the levels and narrow passages but some solution will be put in place for it.

Pathfinding is a fairly simple thing; the AI won't be setting up any elaborate chokepoint strategies anytime soon but it won't have any difficulty realizing that, when there exists a path from point A at the gate and point B at the Tree, it will have its units take said pathway.

The average village has more different routes the AI can take to its objectives. Size is rarely a problem with pathfinding; it's mostly about complexity. Five short paths will confuse the AI much more than one long one.

I'm a bit worried about the pathfinding, I've played LOTR-TW maps like Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith and pathfinding was a problem there. Especially with Minas Tirith it took ages before the enemy reached the seventh level. But my biggest worry isn't actually the pathfinding, but rather the camera angle... in LOTR-TW this was a rather annoying issue.

Oh god, this thread has now managed to scare me. I now fear what my battles are going to be in the new custom settlements
