Default A couple noob questions, unclear from readme.

First question: Is there a way to control more than the basic 20 units, or do you need to just let the other units be on auto-pilot? I thought the mod allowed for more units, but is this for total on the battlefield or for user controlled?

Second, I am unclear on how to activate the garrison script. Do you just have to click show me how on the adviser tab?

    Thanks.

The mod allows for a greater diversity of available units to recruit. It doesn't change the 20 unit limit on the battlefield.

To activate the garrison script, hit "escape" to open the game menu, click on the "?" in the upper right corner, then click on the "show me how" button.

I got another question, I got a fairly good computer with a good grafics card, and I run large battle scenes all the time on SPQR mod, battles are large they usualy contain a total of 18,000 men on the battlefield, is that bad in anyway for my computer, and if yes what do you suggest I do, there is no lag though runs fairly smoothly, grafics card heats up a to like 80 C.
    Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

I got a question too, regarding the kill-sheet. Does it update automatically if "the script" is activated in-game, or is it manually updated? I've played some times without it activated, others I have, but the chart's still occupied with all zeros.

It doesn't update automatically. You need to do the work by yourself, the script has nothing to do with it.

And you shouldn't mix playing with/without the script as this will result in CTD and a critical error concerning the year you are playing(you will travel into the future).

    Blade is right.
The killsheet is pure manual work thingie. You need to input all the data manually using good old typing, the game does not transfer battle results into the sheet. And yet again, do not mix script/nonscript play. YOu will end up with unplayable campaign.

Thus, save a lot and make sure you are using the script!

I have a question about the script, the four year one, the garrison script is less important.

I know how to activate the first time, through the game menu clicking on the show me how button. My problem is that I can't activate it the second time. For example I start a campaign from scratch, I save. I quit the campaign and go to the main menu, I load the save game I press escape, I hit the question marker, but doesn't come up the new script activator but instead the vanilla pop up saying stuff about the game. Am I doing sth wrong.

Another thing I have come to understand that I can save between the Ai-turn, meaning If I just have a very time consuming perfect battle during the ai-turn, but that's not the only battle I m going to have to fight during the ai turn, it is very helpful to save. So I save and if this second battle doesn't come up very good for me, I load the game to during the ai-turn just after I had that very long long battle.
Is this going to work with the 4 year script? Or am I going to corrupt the save game?

Okay, first things first. There is only one script which has both effects (4TPY and garrison) and it is activated by pressing Esc then clicking on the question mark in the top right corner of the menu and then the "show me" button...
Edit: Don't pay attention to what the advisor is sayint just press the button

You shouldn't save during the AI turn because you will not be able to activate the script and this will cause serious matters with your game. We mentioned the problems earlier in this topic...

Well one way I deal with that is my last save name I call it, "LOAD_SCRIPT" so next time when I come in to play again and load last saved game, I'ld remember when the screen come up I click on one of my cities then on the advisor
