Where are the knights?

Playing as England, early game and I can't recruit any knights (aka Miles). But in the building browser, I can't find which will give me Miles, neither in the castle line or the stable line. Where or how do I get knights, what do I have to do? (Perhaps reinstall?)

Wat year and do you use RR?

1100 I think. The early era game, without RR.

hmm, if I remember right, they should be available from the start at the castle buildings (with RR on). That is odd if you are not seeing them in your building browser.

EDIT: nevermind, I see that you arn't playing with RR. In that case, I wouldn't know.
