    Default The vale "problem"

I was wondering about how your gonna solve this, I mean in the book the Arryns stay neutral throughout the war, so if they attacked anyone in the game it would be kind of "out of character", if you know what I mean. But still, this is a "war game", they cant just stay neutral throughout the game, can they? The only ones i can imagine them going to war against are the Lannisters. Of course if you play them yourself, you can do whatever you want, you dont have to follow lore. I was more wondering about the AI Arryn faction.

Edit: Just realized the same problem stands for Dorne, so same question there

As said many times before, the Alpha version is a very unmodded version. This will be addressed in the 1.0 version.

Some work was done on the a.i behavior and i guess that we will dedicate some more time to it in the future.

If everything works well the factions will show an, at least remotely, rational behavior. Personally i think that the arryns and the dornishmen should be quite defensive; But they should also participate in the war from time to time, in order to keep the game interesting.

As long as they don't attack the House Tully while they are fighting the lannisters I am happy

Or "fix" it by giving Tyrion his own faction, the mountain clans, providing the vale with a natural enemy

Maybe not his own faction but having the mountain clans in the mod is a great idea. maybe in a hill fort that blocks the arryns from moving around between territories (or close to the way out of the erryie whose name i forget)

I don't see the problem personally, if you want to relive the books- read the books. If you want to live in the world of the books, beginning from a scenario rooted in the mythology and then play out a campaign which is open-ended (which is after all the point with all historical mods, or even Third Age mod for that matter)--- then this mod shouldn't have to worry about making one faction behave exactly as it did in the books.

Right. And to be honest, Dornish hostility against the Reach and the Stormlands is nothing new.

Be assured that we have at least some ideas concerning the mountain clans.

    As Montgomery Burns would say...

    Excellent.
