Installation Problems

I first installed medieval 2 a long time ago. i played it, liked it, and then it just recently the menu screen was messed up. it didn't give me any options. everything was gray. i couldn't uninstall it so I had to delete it from my hard drive. i made sure i deleted everything medieval. then when i went to install it again it keeps saying that it is already installed. i searched my entire computer and external hard drive dozens of times for anything sega, creative assembly, medieval, total, war, or campaign and there is nothing there. is there anyway i can install it again. P.S i have rome, empire, and napoleon installed on the computer.empire and napoleon are not on the computer really, there steam based. Thanks
