After I click the launcher and select rome then click launch the rome total war alexander screen loads and it stays there. Game never actually loads. If I keep rebooting over and over it finally works. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled everything and same problem.
System Specs:
Windows 7 64bit
Dual Core Amd 6000+
Memory 8gb
Video Card: 512

I have troubleshooted this as far as I can go, i think I know what the problem is. If I install RS without installing the latest patch it works perfectly. If I install the latest patch and try to run it thru the launcher or the .bat file it gets to the part where it tries to read the cd and just freezes with the roman total war alexander screen. My disc is perfectly clean with 0 scratched. Just in case I borrowed a friends and it made no difference. Still freezes and its completely random.. random in the sense 1 out of 5 times it works.....

Re: Freeze on Rome Total War Alexander Screen
What exactly is a "Video Card: 512"? To me that looks like your video card has 512Mb of memory - what type of card is it?
Which patch are you referring to? If you mean the RSII Patch then I don't understand why it works with the original RSII and not the patched version.
