Default Is there any way to increase my faction's "reputation"?

I ask this because diplomacy sucks ballz in this game most of the time. Playing as high elves, on turn 40, and I can't make Rohan and the frigin Silvan Elves (makes no sense) my allies because my reputation is "very untrustworthy" because I made trading rights with gundabad like in turn 5 and then THEY attacked me in turn 8. Its taken 20 turns or so to go from "despicable" to "very untrustworthy" beause of THAT. VERY annoying.

Is there any way to cheat or at least speed up the reputation factor so I can make some allies? I know its pretty much useless, but I like to make them my allies because of immersion elements. Thanks to anyone who knows how.

The best tactic I think is to offer them 5000 gold in exchange for alliance and even if they don't accept it if you repeat the same thing 5 or 6 times your reputation will incrase and when you have outstanding or perfect relations wait 1 or 2 turns and they will accept the alliance.

Or move away from the broken alliances of vanilla and try FROME.

Please excuse the ignorance, but what does FROME mean?

I noticed that diplomacy is much better in FROME.

There's about three tri-alliances in Frome.
    Mordor+Rhûn+Harad.
    Dale+Mirkwood Elves+DOE
    Eriador+High Elves+DOEL

Not to mention Elves of Lorien + Elves of Mirkwood, OOTM+OOG, Gondor+Rohan and Dunland+Isengard which sometimes turns into OOTMM+Dunland+Isengard.

My point being that it is extremely rare to see any good vs good action. Only one I've seen so far is evil vs evil (Rhûn vs Harad).
