    Hi chilly.
The responsibility to update a submod so that it is compatible with the current build of TATW falls on the shoulders of the creator of the submod in question not the TA dev team. Some subs like RR/RC are being updated as we speak but it is a lengthy process. So if their is a mod you would like to see updated, the best bet is to check the submod forum and politely ask the creators if they plan to keep their project going.
    Have a nice day.

well... the 2 best submods are updated to 2.1
FROME (forgotten realms of middle earth). it adds some factions with awsome new units
and Baron Semi's submod complication wich uses ALOT of diffrent submods combined. and you can choose wich submods you want to use in the campaign in the first turn.

A lot of sub-mods work with 2.1 but you really need to ask the modders this. It's not a question for the general community.

See the list of 2.1 compatible mods here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=263135 There could be other compatible sub-mods that aren't in the list, just an fyi.
