So I read here that you can let the ai take control of your faction. If let the computer play for me for 200 turns and then take command, will the gunpowder events and stuff take effect? Will I be able to recruit late units?

er....this is just a way for you to play as the timurids.... how does this let you let the AI autopilot for you? it only lets england go on autopilot for 200 years and then stops.
admittedly if there is a simple way (b/c i've seen newt post maps of AI hotseat campaigns), that would be extremely cool. i would very much like to see what the AI can do on its own.

Yes events still happen as normal.
