    Default Idea for a sub-mod regarding alliances

    I had this idea while playing Empire and I'm just wondering if it's possible to implement through scripting.

    Basically the idea is to grant full military access to allies, for both sides, it's just nonsensical that two countries would form and alliance then not allow them into their lands when they really need help. Is it possible to automatically grant full military access to both parties once an alliance has been agreed upon?

    Vassal does that but dunno if we could implant this for alliance, probably hardcoded

    Yes, hardcoded. Diplomacy options are all hardcoded.

    I don't mean to have a whole new diplomacy option, just to have Military access granted for both sides automatically when an alliance is formed.

    The A.I. will come into your lands regardless of their access status, this just makes it easier for allies to come and go without a relations drop.

    I know. But as Diplomatic Options are hardcoded, so are the effects they have. And there's no scripting command for military acces either, so it's not possible.

    What if I don't actually want the other guy to be walking on my territory? You would have to make that auto-military rights change affect solely the AI.

    Then don't ally with him?

    Sometimes thats how alliances work. When the trust builds up you offer them access rights. In your case just give them access so they can patrol your lands, after a while they will recpricate.

    i just buy up there armies and disband them....mostly cause i like to think it pisses them off...

    The AI is not smart enough to interpret human psychology like that.

    Cant we prevent the AI from entering our land without a alliance ... sigh... i wish that were possible
