Default Is it possible to succeed as Epirus?

Each time I try within a week Naples starts it's reconquest before I can recruit a single unit. No neighbors want to have anything to do with me so diplomacy is out the window. Any tips? I like their flag.

Make their flag the byzantine one?
I come in peace, I didn't bring artillery. But I am pleading with you with tears in my eyes: If you F___ with me, I'll kill you all.

Ya you essentially have to cheat, one way is you start a game as rome go to war with Eprius let them win then save and start a new game from the load menu as Eprius from your old game, that way you can disband all of Romes armies and attack full out.

I think I saw some AAR that played as Epirus and the first thing you have to do is to conquer some OPM so you will be safe from annexation, I also saw someone who played as Bar who managed to lead a personal union with France. However he also conquered a OPM as fast as possible.

It was quite possible in some releases, but I think in the latest one (or after In Nomine?), you cannot create an inheritance-machine with appointing 3Xprestige boost advisors.

you need to do it pretty much at the beggining of the game since in HttT every OPM in greece picks up gaurentees and alliances from about every nation with a good navy in western europe...
