    Default Does 2.3 fix the missing units?

    When I played 2.02 I had a LOT of units missing in campaign play, I could use them in skirmish but in campaign they never appeared. I looked at the EDB and compared it to the EDU and there were a lot of entries missing. No sub mods installed, no changes made that would account for the missing units. They just wasn't there. I tried to add them from the EDU and then create the necessary recruit pool info but there was so many of them...

    If I need me to I will go around and make a list of them. Every faction is missing at least several units.

    Apart from the Outremer knights for KoJ what other units are missing?

    A whole truckload. I will post a text file with all the missing units. I have to recompile the list one faction at a time, but I will get the info for you.

    Is reinstating the Outremer knights a fairly simple operation that I could perform? I'm kind of shelving the KoJ until I can play them properly into the middle game....

    Or if you know you're fixing that yourselves in 2.3 I won't bother!

    i think BC has removed them for balance reasons

    You're looking at BC 1.05.

    And those units have touched-up vanilla skins, I think. You wouldn't want to see those old units in the actual game, when there are completely original units in current version, would you?

    Some units besides Outremar knights:

    Kypchaks Nomad Lancers (check the custom battle armies, the nomad lancers are the really light lancers, NOT the Noble or Khan's lancers units) you get one or maybe 2 of these starting out as kypchak campaign but you cannot get more

    Seljuks/Turks (Tribal and Seljuk Close Bow horse archers, again in the custom battle you will see the unit portrait CB in white stands for close bow RB stands for regular bow, close bow has shorter range but is armor piercing) Great Seljuks campaign you start with 2 of the close bow horse archers but cannot get more

    the KOJ has a lot more missing, including jerusalem longbowmen(who aren't in the custom battles but you can change that in the EDU file) christian crossbowmen, christian militia, and militia of the kingdom(these last 3 armenia also has) as well as mounted sergeants.
    Also I dont remember if the mounted Outremars were available, but i do know that the dismounted Outremars are not.

    There are some other ones besides these but i forgot what they were since i modified the EDB to let me train all of them in the campaigns

    That's true, these are vanilla units, and any fix in regards of these units will consist of removing them from the EDU where they just nonsensically occupy precious space.

    alot of your factions best units are not available for a very long time. Maybe this needs to be changed in 2.3? As it is I only see a factions full roster in custom battles

    Yes, that's how it will be in 2.3. Factional starting centres will be better developed (though not fully), and more units will be available at the start.

    I added Kypchak Heavy Lancers in the EDB, with the same recruitment pool as the Heavy Horse Archers, but I have no idea which numbers to put for the elite lancers and HA.
