    Default HP Pavilion 525w needs a new CPU

    Parent's own the HP Pavilion 525w. Apparently the CPU broke (confirmed by me) and they need a new one. Problem is, though, I have no clue where to find a CPU for this ancient computer. Could you guys give me some help?

    mPGA478 is the motherboard socket according to this link

    At best you can use a pentium 4 processor, this is so old now you will probably have more luck finding one on ebay or using google shopping. I would be very surprised to see a main stream supplier still stocking these.
