[solved] Senate NOT attacking me? :(

Hello,

now that I am finally ready to attack the senate I marched into their territory and waited for the next turn (SPQR v7).
However, somehow they prefer to stay my best friends instead of declaring war. Is there anything I can do to make them declar war on me? Trying to attack them myself says I don't have enough support from the people yet (but this is a vanilla feature only afaik or does it apply to SPQR as well?).

edit: found the solution today. Apparently they were too scared of my legions surrounding them. When I moved all of them well away (but remained in Italy) and only left a single weak unit within their territory they decided to attack me next round and now I am able to return the favor.
