Default How many Gondorians does it take...

...to navigate through the Rammas Echor in the straightest way possible?

But seriously, I have noticed some very serious pathing issues when I don't have units garrisoned in all 3 forts. Going out the bottom and all the way around the wall to get to the top, vice versa, and going out the bottom to get to Osgilliath when there is no one blocking any entrances, and no one garrisoned in the forts. Moving people into the forts breaks the stupid, but sometimes I need those dudes, like when Mordor trys to pull a fast one with Ji Undur and a half stack inbetween the Rammas and W. Osgilliath.

Anyone else notice these occurances, or is it just me?

I've never encountered that problem before, but then again I usually have units in all three forts.

it's also with armies targeting minas tirith.. they never get there.. and diplomats.. they stand in the mountain.. they really should remove rammas echor because of the lessened gameplay due pathfinding.. llorewise there wheren't enought men to defend it anyway

ps and rammas echor has a graphics bug

Hmm well thats true i guess , i dont know how it waS back then but still a big wall.. and well it s weird that a wall can only be crossed by 3 fortresses.. better create some gaps then

I personally really like the Rammas Echor, adds a bit of flavor to the game, but I really wonder if there's a way to fix the pathing.

Well it was in disrepair most of the time lorewise, so you could always put some gaps in it. I have never had a problem with it myself, except for the small graphics bug where it disappears from certain distances and angles. This probably cannot be fixed though.

then indeed removing the fortresses would be better lore wise and their still would be a bottleneck to trap the attacking enemy.

The path finding issue with the Rammas is, in my experience, that if Mordor moves through a fort then they now own it. Therefore, Gondorian units can't walk through them without first attacking them (even if there are no Mordor units occupying the forts). Same applies for diplomats, they can't move through unless you own a fort. Since there is no need to get a diplomat directly to Minas Tirith and spies can easily see the city from outside the wall, the only problem I have with the Rammas is the rare case when I try to aid the white city while Gondor holds all three forts. Because then I have to attack the forts and regain the alliance before relieving the siege.

I like the Rammas Echor, and when you use your Free Garrisoning slots it will be navigable without that many problems
