Icon5 Adding Units To An Army That Is Under Seige

Portugal is under siege from Spain and it will fall on the next turn. I want to keep it from falling into oblivion. The only units present at Lisbon are the King... all of then other units are off trying to attack Spain elsewhere. I want to move that army column back to the capitol to protect it. Could someone please tell me how to do this in a step by step manner. I have modded Napoleon and Empire Total War Games, but I have never made modifications to Medieval 2 Total War Games. Thanks!

The spawnArmy command will create units (under the command of a general/captain) at a given location:
    monitor_event GeneralAssaultsResidence
and IsTargetRegionIsOneOf [Insert regions here, as per Descr_regions]

    SpawnArmy
    faction portugal

    character [Name of general- random_name for random general], general [ I think named_character is for captains, I'm not sure], age 20, , x 54, y 124

    unit portuguese_knights
    unit blah
    ....
    end

OR you can use the create_units command, without a character.
A well informed opinion is a well formed opinion.

Spawning an army in this case will be of no help - the game is already in process.
What can be done, is to use the console (Press ~ key) and then enter a command to move the leader of the other army (together with his army next to Lisbon so he can attack the besieging army.
The army leader has to be a named character (no captain) for this to work.

    move_character [enter character's name here] 6,150

The numbers at the end are the co-ordinates the character and his army should move to. That can be checked by placing your mouse cursor on a suitable spot (it cannot be a settlement) and then use this command:

    show_cursorstat
The result will give you the co-ordinates necessary.
