Won't recognize disc

So I bought the RTW:Gold Edition but my computer won't recognize the disc like it's not there, even if it is. However the drive recognizes every other disc i put in. And there's nothing wrong with the disc as it works on other PC's.My OS is Windows 7 32 bit.

Any tips?

Are you logged in as Administrator?

Can you read it in Computer?

Have you tried to update the firmware on your cd/dvd-rom?

I am logged in as an Administrator but I can't read it in computer.
Sometimes the disc works initially, but during installtion just "powers down" and freezes the entire process.
I don't think there's anything wrong with the drivers. According to the system they're up to date.

Does the disc work in another computer?

It's either a bad disc or the cd/dvd-rom is too new for the discs format and I have seen both in these forums.
