Default Bug or just weird feature?

So I keep searching and searching for this, but it just doesnt come up really...

I'm new to BC, playing 2.02.. ERE

I'm been mainly warring with the turks, I'm one of the most powerful and largest factions, the turks are broke, battered, beaten, crushed...

For the life of me I can't figure out what gives, I've got about a thousand men sieging one of their towns with 3-4 units tops....BOOOOOOOOOM 1200 men appear out of thin air... Heavy Cav...the works.

Is this some type of bizarre feature? Is there a way to remove this ridiculous notion. I can see a few extra units of "peasants" but over a whole stack appearing out of nowhere is just moronic.

Any help on how to fix this bug would be greatly appreciated!

I'm loving the mod, it's damn good and challenging!

It's not a bug, it's garrison script. Some towns will get reinforcements if you besiege them.

Hey thanks for the update, Is there any way to edit the script in play or will it cause my saves to corrupt.

Thanks for all youve done with the mod, it's fantastic.

Could you explain the reasoning behind these invisible forces appearing.

What can I do to predict or prevent a massive force from appearing.

Any changes in the script made in the middle of campaign are not save game compatible.

The credits for this go to the old team yet.

When you besiege important town, reinforcements are gathered and they "break through" into the town. This is to prevent player from taking AI towns too easily, because AI has big problems with defending its towns.

Nothing except removal of certain script entries.

Only the biggest and most important settlements have this script. I think it is great and challenging. Maybe you should consider keeping it?

You are right but some other features should be involved too...
For example KoJ captures, lets say , Istanbul and Kypcaks besiege it right after ,the same thing should happen for Koj too. I think....

Realistically, cities like Constantinople, Jerusalem, Konya, Antioch, etc, would never be left ungarrisoned. But the AI will leave no one to defend it's most important cities because it's not very smart.... and often unrealistic.

    This script fixes that.
