Default ROMAN GENERALS NAME CHANGE TO AVGUSTUS

    Hello everyone,

I'm far in my Romani campaign and I've noticed something strange. Many of my generals had their names change to Avgustus even though their father and family names are different. So I know you get the name when you triger the imperial reforms with the right conditions met. But these reforms did not triger. Only the names change to Avgvstvs. So for example he is fisrt Titvs Sempronivs Tvdianvs and then just like that in the next turn generals new nam is Avgvstvs. And I have a couple of them...like 10 Avgvstvs guys.

Can someone explain this wierd behaviour or at least share their opinoin or maybe their experience with similar or the same problem.

P.S. None of them have Avgvstvs trait in the trait list.

Hmmm, now that you mention it, I'm noticing a bunch of Avgvstvs' in my campaign, which has reached 52 BC, as well. I had a character that had the right traits to be a potential reformator, but my Imperial Reforms never triggered as i don't have enough type 2 gov'ts. I wasn't paying much attention to this, so I'm afraid I can't be of much help as to when or why it started.

You play on 1.2+fixes, right? In which turn is your current campaign? Did you activate the script all the time?

If nothing else is "weird", just go on with your campaign.

I'm in year 75 BC and I activate the script all the time. I try to play historically correct. Everything works fine just these names irritate me and no Ivlivs Caesar names bother me as well since ill be going to Gaul soon

The more family members your empire has the higher is the absolute number of traits and people who achieve the requirements for the Avgvstvs trait.
You must have quit a big fat amount of mnai in your pockets....

Dont know about that will check later, but the mnai thing is quite correct. I have around 1500000 mnai right now I never cheated with money cause i didnt have to. The money just keeps geting in the bank. Now i get like 50000 a turn.

Yes, just checked my family tree and it is Avgvsts. They seem to be randomly strewn about among all the branches of the tree. I haven't noticed anything that affects gameplay, and to be honest I wouldn't even have noticed the name issue really, save for this thread.

Yeah, it's probably a game error... Once you get the title Augustus it's spelled correctly... I really dunno where Avgsusts comes from...

Well I have to say Im sorry for this mispeling or misreading of the name for it is in fact Avgvsts and not Avgvstvs in my campaign too...I know. Its stupid of me for not reading it right But the problem is still there and I agree its not making any problems with the game its just weird.

Hope you can forgive me for this stupidity.

You get the title Avgvsts when a character gains the "Virtus" trait, it's not a bug as far as I know.

Well what should Avgusts mean? There is no such word in latin according to my experience and some pretty big dictionaries

    August? lol
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.
