Gondor Turns on Rohan?!?!?!

Hello Folks I have reasently started a Rohan campaign while bieng laid off and put alot of time into this but... While fending off Mordor and Stalemate with Isengard after taking Isengards capitol it seems Gondor has made an alliance with Mordor and gone to war with me. Has this happend to anyone else?

I did have a mission to assasinate Gondors king wich I failed miserably at 20 or so attempts with a 5% chance each time Could it be that Gondors King was planning this all along and that is why I had this mission?

Just curiose cuz I am all beat up fighting on 3 fronts. And Isengard really moved north all but eradicating Free Peoples. So they are getting plenty of rescources.

well maybe it was because, you know, you tried to kill their king?

Perhaps Gondor didn't like that you wanted to kill Denethor.

And Gondor has a Steward, not a King

King Steward same same. I wonder if my assasination was successful they would not turn on me. I should have just left that mission alone then huh? The 5000 florins was sooo tempting tho.
