Very Odd crashes...

Hello everyone, i'm experiencing some very peculiar crashes. I'm playing as Portugal, and my the first crash seemed to occur when my faction leader died but it happened while I was viewing the scroll, not the instant he dropped over. The second crash happened when I tried to reload the game, and it took me back to my previous save point 1 or 2 turns before the crash. As soon as it loaded, I got a message about the pope being dead, and about a second after I voted for a new pope, it crashed. I then tried the game a 3rd time, and this time the pope died and my cardinal died, but no crash, and no following papel election My faction leader was still living. The 2nd and 3rd times I loaded the game I was starting from the same save point. I have yet to post an error log, but I will investigate further. Any suggestions are welcome. Honestly it just sounds like your save game somehow became corrupted. Can you play through with another save file by any chance?

sounds good, error log didn't turn up anything. Never had this problem before either. I just got the aventuros as Portugal and I was so psyched to try them out with the pike-and-shot formation, but alas I'll have to wait.

How far in into the game are you?

Are you playing vanilla or a mod?

playing vanilla but with agarts cities and castles, mapmod 1.7, and realistic grass mod. I am about 35 turns in, i played as Spain and Russia earlier and got over 100 turns in with no problems.

That early, it's the game's random crashes.

The only other thing with thise mods and still using Mac resources, you could be running out of memory ram, vram, or both. I have no idea how good those are optimized on a Mac.
