Default GONDOR ATTACKS ME WHEN I PLAY ROHAN?

    Hi,
Im impressed with the mod, and should say it is the best of all mods created for RTW ALX. In the mean time, when I play as Rohan in the campain, in about 15th turn I have Gondor attacking me!!! I have no clue what the heck is this supposed to be, Gondor attacing Rohan, but this is getting out of hand. I killed Isenguard with my helm's deep force, have -20000 money or so, have dundelings and mordor and NOW GONDOR coming to my towns and capturing them. I know this should be hard, as it says in the campaign menu, but THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!! Any tips- what should I do???
I have the 2.8 patch... HELP!!!

blind alliances script would help. it won't stop gondor attacking you, but it will make it impossible for gondor to take your settlements for it makes alliances between good factions each turn. so if gondor sieges your settlement, the siege will be cancelled when it's your turn as gondor automatically be your ally again.

to activate it: in the "../alexander/lotrtw/data/scipts/show_me" folder, open "background_script.txt".. you will find "activate blind scripts here" on top of the text. it should be written "set_counter blindalliances 0", which means blind alliances script is inactive. you can activate it by changing the number zero to one. so it will look like "set_counter blindalliances 1"..

Thanks, it works as you said. 1 last question- you know in this same folder there are the options about hot seat. What do they mean by hot seat? Isent it human vs human? but if it is, there is no wayyou can play battles in RTS mode... So it should be something different... Do you know what is it phobos451?

    Thanks

"Hot seat" mod is originally what it is: used for multiplayer. In essence, the script changes the who is player's faction during end turn, so you could cycle through multiple factions per turn thus simulating multiplayer in campaign as one person hands off the control to the next during end turn. However, combat is still single player. In LOTR-TW, we use "hot seat" as a way to play multiple faction, thus a permanent alliance of factions. Gondor and Rohan can be played at the same time, the 3 elven factions also can, as well as Dwarves and Dale.

Well, it's quite easy to make combinations of factions. I just read the script a understood how it worked and now i'm able to play hot seat with any combination of factions, however it's not that funny since you can't play battles with two players and you have to make some auto-solve battles because you'ra controling the "wrong" faction at the time your other one is attacked
Do you know the problem with the Iraqi army? They were using Russian defense tactics:

    1. Engage the enemy. -

    2. Draw him into your territory. -

    3. Wait until winter sets in. -

If I were playing multiplayer like that, I would let the AI control both armies. You can easily do this by forming the army controlled by the player into a single group then turn on AI assistance. So now it's retarded AI versus retarded AI so it kinda balanced out. You have to play in Medium battle difficulty though, otherwise the non-player will get a bonus.

Yes, it's kind of bad you can't controll the battles, which is the worst factor of the hot-seat in this game. I would say it's better to just play 1 faction yourself, without any other person playing since you cant play battles in real time, which is in my opinion about 75% of campaign... It would have been cool if they made online campaign where people play campaign vs each other. I know they did such thing in Empire total war, but my pc can't run it... Hopefully Im getting new pc soon, then I will buy ETW.
