Yeah. I'm not a religious guy, but I feel so bad for Christians whenever the WBC opens their damn mouths.

They're just a hate group. I'm not even sure if they can be compared to other hate groups like, say, the KKK because the Klan has an objective (however evil and sick that it is); the WBC just hate everyone. They picket everything. Everything.

It's a family of lawyers though, so no one can touch them.

Perhaps to discuss the ethics of hate groups? I think the OP was just under the misconception that the WBC is an actual church, which is pretty common, unfortunately. They're nothing more than a whackjob hate group giving bad names to Christians.

well i was born in 94. Internet in our home in about 2005 or 06. I think that's a reasonable time to hear of them through just random

Can anyone tell me why exactly they do what they do? Publicity?if so what for, they only get hate and no money
Anyway i'd love to see how our church would react to gays

What does that mean?

Trying to find the logic of a hate group is a futile endeavour. They do what they do because they can. You've seen the horrible things some people say on the internet, behind the mask of anonimity. The WBC are all powerful lawyers. They're virtually untoucheable. It's basically a mask of legal protection that they hide behind while they spew their garbage.

Very true! If they didn't get so much news attention and "interviews" nobody would even know they exist. And how many members do they have? 100 or so?
