Default Back to the old days, ageing 0.5 YPT (As Vanilla M2TW)

Good day everyone, I did a small tweak regarding the ageing. Some people complaint that their generals age too fast. Here's a small change that will give you the same ageing as the Vanilla M2TW.

    Installation:
Just download the file attached to this post and drop it into your SS6.3/data/world/maps/campaign/imperial_campaign and say yes for replacement.

The first one is for the Early campaign and the second one is for the Late campaign. Enjoy

Umm the vanilla aging rate was 0.5 years per turn. It took 2 turns for a character to age 1 year

Bump in case people didn't see it. I'll probably do this as well for my submod as an option.

    Is this save-game compatible?

um, I did a check there those files and found that it appears you deleted the aging script.

If that is indeed the fact, it kinda will not help what your goal is.

if your looking to add life to your general look into ( 4 Seasons BETA for DLV+BB2.9.04 ). It does great job of , just will need some light modding to be used in SS

You are correct, removing the ageing_script will make the SS ageing as vanilla. I just do this small change cuz some people love their characters and by doing that, it will slow their ageing.

My own mod will be based on a 4TPY basis, more better for recruitment and the ageing of characters.

And thanks to bump the thread, never took the time to do that.

Why not make it use the submod manager? That is what it is there for If you need help with it let me know.

Thanks for not taking the time, I might have had to make time to delete them.
Just know if you want this to stay on the first page you need to bring more to the table than "bump"

Tell you what, i do it and you can then check ou the files i give you - its pretty straightforward to understand. If necessary i can readd devastation if it is indeed not in yet.

Oh and you get devastation back if you do this as well as an added bonus.

Judging from the install instructions devastation might not be turned back on yet, this would need confirmation

Your right about devastation because it needs to be "turned back on" in descr_campaign_db.xml file.

Thanks for confirming, I'll add it back in. Weekend coming up

Could you please explain what do I need to do to get devastation back? The text you quoted is the same as in the default descr_campaign_db.xml. What do I need to change?

    Thanks.

    Ignore the above question.

It seems that I had it on all along. That is, I had even when I was playing 1 TPY. In the meantime I switched to 2 TPY (didn`t used St. Polycarpe`s files, I chenged the relevant files myself).
So, it seems that, at least for me, devastation was working fine even with 1 TPY.

Same, giving 1/2 speed aging with devastation on a go, using Norway with a new campaign. I also toned down the super-heretics a bit.

Interesting Astro, we could combine these little add-on together, how about it?
