Please HELP: Naval Invasions EUIII:HttT

I'm a bit new to the game, and I've been able to figure out just about everything; except naval landings that is.

I can't seem to land troops on enemy islands. As you might imagine, this can get very annoying, particularly when the era of colonization begins.

I've tried larger fleets, smaller fleets, smaller armies, larger armies and combinations but I can't seem to get it right.

Please help me out, I don't want to have to resort to cheating to defeat nations with islands.

Load you troops on to a fleet, by moving the transport ships out to a sea zone adjacent to land you control, move the troops on to the zone and they will board the ships. Then move you fleet wherever you want thats next to an enemy land, then select your troops by clicking the tab at the top right(on the panel that shows your fleet) and then move your troops onto land.

Thanks Cooraan, I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. There's just so much to the game and almost no tutorials or guides.
