No smoke

I don't know what happened but suddenly I dont have heavy smoke clouds anymore.
How do I fix it?
It's not a problem if I can run it because it did run I have fog on and all the other settings on ultra and still no clouds I have no mods on so I'm lost

The amount of smoke is tied to the "particle effects"...if is medium or low, you will have alot less...what is it set at?

I said on ultra.
Also I have those gun flashes and the smoke that comes out of that I have those little fog clouds in the air but I don't have those big and thick gunpowder smoke clouds

Have you installed mods previously and deleted them?
What are your system specs, particularly your gfx card?
Have you updated your gfx drivers?

You said it did run when you had it on ultra, but I wanted to confirm that it was still currently set on ultra.

It is on ultra my graphic card is 220 GT and yes I had previously used mods but I deleted them from the data folder and from the the place that the scripts file are

When did the smoke disappear? Right after the last patch?

When you uninstalled the mods and the scripts, did you verify your game cache?

I did not verify my game cache how do I do that?

Well I'd done what you've told me but still nothing I tried to reinstalled but nothing

Did you delete the full scripts folder and try it?

Did you modify the preferences_script.txt before?

I deleted the full scripts folder and now it works
