I'd rather say bible isn't a historical book, it's a holy book for christians

i have something that answers both of your questions

When god talked to moses as a burning bush, moses asked "well who do i tell them this is from?" and god answered "I am"

When the jewish high priests first confronted Jesus they asked "Who are you?" and Jesus answered "I am"
