Default Problem with starting the game

I have downloaded some mods including RTR Platinum 1.9 and Roma Surrectum 1.6. However, I can't start RTR or RS. Every time I double-click the shortcut for either one, it says:

"Generic error: could not read file 'data/descr_strategy_lighting.txt' "

What should I do? I want to play both mods but I just can't because of this problem. Also tried to run them on Bi.exe, but that didn't work either. My computer isn't really great so could it be that it just can't read the file because it's not powerful enough?

Sounds like an installation problem. Did you install RTRPE mod switch version? Also, you realize that RS is not mod switch and would need its own original untouched RTW folder for installation.

Could it be because I have edited the descr.strat-files to be able to play with all factions in vanilla? Or that I have Extended Greek mod on the same copy of RTW as the Roma Surrectum?

Any mod that isnt "modfoldered" alters the original files and so you need a clean install for each mod.
Once you have a non modfoldered mod, you cannot add others as some files will be for one and some for another

Ideally, you should always have a clean untouched copy of your RTW/BI folder that you use for any mod that overwrites the original game files. So yes, Extended Geek mod and RS cannot share the same RTW folder, as RS overwites the original game files. I suggest you uninstall RTW and start from scratch.
