Ultimately the Human gets a bonus and as far as I know it's the diplomacy file that makes the final adjustment as to weather or not items appear as generous or demanding in the diplomacy scroll.

woops my bad the cai i posting that was changed a bit was savage not gracal.
ya not great at modding just know a little just thought id throw some ideas out there just incase they werer missed
Well I tried Curts idea on the diplomacy file and it seems to be working. The diplomacy screen shows me (spain) offering alliance,map info and trade rights to the moors as generous but they didn't accept which is a step in the right direction.

If other people want to make the changes and confirm this I will upload the fix and we can go from there.

somthing else i find pretty Soulson imagine wanting to get map info from a country your not at war with for ex. hre wanting turks map info but not really on good terms. in other mods im used to getting my way here as well if i want to scope out others, but i find it rewarding for some odd reason getting turned down flat unless i really pay.
<item name="demand_map_information">
<cost modifier="0.5"/>
<faction_standing modifier="2.5"/>
<global_standing modifier="0.8"/>
other ex, i use to try an get out of a war by offering trade rights for more appeal, not anymore.
<item name="offer_trade_rights">
<cost modifier="0.4"/>
<faction_standing modifier="4.0"/>
<global_standing modifier="0.5"/>
not sure if this would fit the direction your looking for but it works pretty well.
ps hope this isnt rude posting like this in your mods thread sorry if it is no offence meant.
Not rude at all. I can tell you cost modifier is how much a faction wants something. Faction and global standing modifiers increase the chance of accepting if those conditions are met. good ideas though.

Quick question, if I wanted to keep playing with my 1.5version game any advice? Maybe break all my current alliances and try and get them again a few turns later?
I suppose you could try it. No guarantees though.

Looks like Curt 2013 has some good insight! Hopefully soulson can use this info to continue to make further improvements!
I will fix the early era alliances real soon. That's why SS is so hard to mod the AI. Late era is fine in terms of alliances but early era is like a totally different game.

Just checking on the Early Campaign fix/update? No pressure, just wondering because I'd like to start a new campaign and use your AI updates. Thanks!![]()
btw I remember in the old MTW, there are a few separate CAIs that have rather different behaviors, IIRC they're machiavellist, pacifist and something...
is it the same with M2? or it's just 1 global CAI?
We have various CAIs in the main CAI file - if I understand the situation properly, you could write a different CAI for each faction and each difficulty level. But rather you than me, even a single CAI can get very complicated.

Different question - don't know if it is CAI related or not but I get a strange effect in diplomacy screens:
If an AI faction approaches and offers Trade and Map Information and I chose to change the offer, it sets up (before any amendments) with them offering trade and me demanding map information. Can that be fixed?
This AI is really sweet, Just had a 1.5b game using portugal(H,H with BGY IV)
At start I allie with Argon and Leon for killing Moor. After turn 30, France invaded my allies and break our relationship
I need to deal with 2 large Factions since then and all of my Royal Blood pass away in the battlefield during the next 20 turns.
This is the first time I get defeated by Hard AI, but really enjoyed it.
Now I am eager to start a new campaign at M,M with BGY IV, seems I can enjoy a game without much AI boost![]()
Glad your enjoying. I am back from a little break and will try and bang out another update soon.
