Wierd Ctrl/Hotkey Glitch

This is an extremely annoying glitch I've been having lately, and ever since I bought kingdoms, and I've been dealing with it since. So often I use hotkeys during battle, or ctrl-click to select all my soldiers on the campaign map, and then move them all at once. Sometimes this works, but often, and equally as much as it does work, this pressing of the ctrl button, or the number keys causes a wierd glitch. It's different depending on what mode I'm in, and can happen when I press any keys. If I accidently bring up Midievalshell with the ~ key, It might happen. It's random, and annoying.

So In battle mode, if I press Ctrl or the number keys and this happens to happen, battle automatically goes to 3x speed, and the volume is muted. This is extremely annoying, I have to go to sounds and unmute, and pause and reset to 1x speed. And this happens ALOT.

In campaign mode, if this happens, the game will go to the loading screen and literally reset to the nearest save, or at the start of the last turn, and this obviously screws me big time. So now, I'm reduced to no hotkeys when commanding troops, and having to move all of my men out of my cities one by one.. Which is excruciatingly annoying.

I would have thought they would have released a patch by now to fix this.

The last patch was 2008 for Kingdoms and it almost a rebellion to get it. The last one for Medieval2 was before Kingdoms was released. There won't be any.

Are you using a wireless keyboard?

This game hates wireless keyboards.

Plug in a PS2 or a USB keyboard and see if there is a difference.

You can try to update its drivers and seeif that helps.
