Multiplayer problems

After exhausting every singleplayer option (played Napoleon twice, England as well, Russia, Austria, Prussia...everything ) I want to play multiplayer. So I click on the multiplayer in the main menu and I wait...

And wait, and wait... I can't seem to find a partner to multi with.
I have a good connection, never fails me but every time I search for a partner to play with I either get 4 or 5 games which are in full battle and won't let me join or nobody at all.

Any help with this?

Yeap, vanilla version, updated to the latest patch, Imperial version with the extra DLC packs.

no sir, the vanilla has the most people on its multiplayer too

Must be your download region. Go to steam settings and change your download region to something most people use, or your friends do; you will get a load of games then.

Post this in the multiplayer forum you will get a lot better support there.

find and join steam groups to do with total war. if you are a member of a group you always see games made by members of that group no matter where you are. You shoudl find and join as many groups as possible for games you play a lot.
