Should I buy NTW or wait for ShGn2TW?

So I need a multiplayer strategy game, wich one should I get?

I'm inclined to buy NTW, for 2 reasons: 20 € cheaper than Shogun 2 and I love the era.

What do you guys recommend: buy NTW or wait for Shogun 2?

well which time periode is more interresting for you? why aren´t you goint to buy both?

Believe me, if you love the Napoleonic Era, Napoleon Total War is the game for you.

My only doubt is if there's enough people to play online with?

They are going to be very different, based off of the setting alone.

Tough call, actually. I would tend to recommend waiting for S2.
But if you love the era, get NTW. However, you do run the risk that many MP people will move over to S2. You'll probably still get your money's worth from SP campaign.
If you're really only in it for the MP experience, I really expect S2 to greatly improve on that. Also, be aware that NTW MP is very imbalanced.

Plenty of people play online and its a very good game, Napoleon.

Buy. Buy Imperial Edition if you can, you get access to extra 15 units which is really useful.

Got here too late. Sure Shogun II will have things that will be better than NTW. BUT, NTW hands down. NTW has to be the best if not RTW. Just my opinion.

Absolutely get NTW. There are now some great mods (large and small) and if you like the period, it's absolutely a no-brainer. I recommend NTW without hesitation. Fact is, despite the whinings of some, we are spoiled for choice with TW games!

About the mods, I totally agree. One of my favorites is The Great War {TGW}!
Now if only they would come out with a v.5.0 already! haha

Wait for shogun2. Napoleon multiplayer will be real slow like empire is when shogun2 starts....

If you're going for the multiplayer I think you should wait for Shogun 2. It will have plenty more gamemodes than napoleon and you will be able to customize your own army.
