    Default New custom battle maps for CoW version 1

    Time for me to add something worthwhile to the mod. I started learning 3DS Max, but will be a long time before I can add anything decent with that. This will do for now.

    If you enjoy playing custom battles as I do regularly while I refine my own personal battle stat mod, this will be for you. Don't know about you but I was terribly bored of the very limited amount of custom battle maps available for this mod. Most of the maps available were awful, some unplayable.

    This mod will introduce 35 new custom battle maps taken from the CoW world map. Each map is named after the area which it originates on the map. All are working and playable with no crashes, although please post if you experience any problems yourself. All maps have a pic at the selection screen.

    Several minor problems surfaced during my testing. The above pic shows The Grand Theogonists Residence on the battle map, which was accessible to your troops. On my second loadup of the map the residence had moved to outside of the battle area. Not sure how to fix it or why it happened. There are a couple of maps with interesting buildings which went the same way on further play testing. Not a big issue, but they did make the maps more interesting. One other little problem is it will remove many other custom maps which were a part of the mod. I'm sure you're all bored of those by now though and most were worthless anyway. If you want those back either rename the 'custom' folder or delete it.

    There will be a version 2 when I find enough interesting maps to add to the mod.

    Simply download the file and place the call_of_warhammer folder in your 'Medieval II Total War/mods' folder. It does not change any files, just adds the custom battle maps.

    Do you see the little icons below the posts number of a person? The posts and icons are below their avatar, if you need additional assistance in finding it.

    Its just a way to reward or show appreciation for someone's work in providing information, a modification, tweak, or just being a good community member in general. Once you have a certain allotment of posts, you'll be able to give reputation to other members as well if you do wish.

    You click a little green plus button and it allows you to even add a message if you want to.

    If you hover your mouse over the reputation icons, you'll see a message. Its much like in the Total War games where your general gains command stars and it presents a message for however many they have.

    Where should I install this? Just placing it inside the data folder in the /mods/Call_of_warhammer does not work... And placing it in the medieval total war II/data gives me a CTD when I click custom battle... :/

    Target The mod Folder.
    1- Extract to wherever you feel.
    2- Go down one level in the extracted folder{You will see a folder called Call_of_Warhammer}
    3- Cut or copy{Your choice}
    4- Paste in mods folder.
    5- Play custom battle on custom maps

    I had the same exact issue, but I found a way around it. Just download the .txt file below and extract to your "Call_of_Warhammer/data" folder. Be sure to backup your original file though.

    You need the file above ONLY if you are facing the same problems The Bold Max is. And yes, you need the mod installed first.

    Anyone else who has faced this odd thing: while playing a custom map, there's a giant text floating in the sky and around horizon. Text seems to refer to time and weather, as it says something like "sunrise_overcast".

    I noticed this once while playing one of your custom maps, I haven't seen this lately though. I can try to track the map and condition if needed. But mostly I would like to know what makes such a text appear, and if it's related to this mod? Or is it a random bug, not relating to the mod?
