Very Possibly a Stupid Question (I need help!)

Hey. I feel like Im taking crazy pills to not know what to do but Ive hit a snag in my fellowship campaign. When I win the battle of the black gate, Frodo and Sam are released from where they've been frozen for a while and then their movement is so restricted by the special ring exhaustion modifier that they cant reach mount doom in 1 turn. So when I press next turn they are attacked by orc units still in Mordor and I lose the campaign.

What am I missing!?!

No idea since I never played the Fellowship campaign... But maybe split them up? Use Sam as a distraction to lure the Orcs for that turn and try to reach Orodruin just with Frodo?

Never finished the fellowship campaign (as I lost my save for some reason) but it sounds as if youre just heading straight for mount doom. I'd consider going a bit slower and hiding a bit. Also if its possible you could bring up some forces for a distraction like what happened in the books and the movies. Other than that use Sam as a distraction like Maegfaer said. Good luck

I hade te same sort of trouble. when my fellowship members sailed by boat from Lorria I got attackt by a large rebbel fleet. I could not win. So at the end I used the cheat auto-win defender. There are some bugs In the Fellowship campaign as far as I know so it is not so bad to use cheats to get out inpossible situations.

I appreciate the help but Im afraid this isn't a situation where Ive gotten myself trapped or can use Sam as a distraction. Im playing the scripted Fellowship campaign and when I trigger Frodo's release he is surrounded by 3-5 small stacks of orcs and doesn't have enough movement points to reach mount doom in one turn.

Could someone who's completed the fellowship campaign please help?

Send some troops from the Black Gate to help Frodo out. Send them out the very same turn you conquer the Black Gate or they wont reach him in time.
