    Icon5 Dunedain resource Eriador

    Despite multiple searches, I have not been able to find out what cities contain the hidden resource Dunedain. The thing you need to allow the creation of Battle ready Dunedain and Rangers as Eriador. Can someone give me a clue or redirect me to the appropriate thread if this has been asked before?

    Oh, thats just bad.. Amon Sul and Fornost takes forever to make something useful of and by then your empire probably got 50 territories anyway

    True, but personally I would much rather have them out there spearheading the conquest. I had a top-notch Respect general with Architect in Fornost and it took about 150 turns to reach Fortress level.

    Mind you, it was exciting when it finally happened! Also, during that long wait I completely forgot that Annuminas could recruit Rangers too. I could have been recruiting them 20-30 turns earlier.

    It's a shame it takes so long - even the ability to retrain that one unit you start with would have been nice. On the other hand it forces the game to be more drawn out (if you want Rangers to be part of the action) which is a good thing. By the time I was seriously ready to take on Isengard (+Rangers) the Silvans and High Elves were in a position to lend a hand which makes it far more interesting.

    {TATW}\data\world\maps\base\descr_regions.txt defines the resources.

    the hidden resource shoudl be added to more regions furthwer up north and west IMO

    Dunedain(Both Arnor and Gondor) units will easily pwn any unit in the game

    Main issue is not really that it takes that long, but that by the time you actually reach it, you'll most likely have to form Arnor in a hurry (if you want to do that) as Gondor will be on the brink of destruction.

    Got a campaign going atm, I managed to keep Gondor alive for another 10-20 turns by attacking Isengard, but I'm already being pressed by Gundabad and OOTMM. (Damn elves)

    must give a tip...first kill Gundabad even at vh vh is very easy,then move down take Eregion ,offer it to High Elves continue down until Isengard,if u do this no u simply save Gondor but also Rohan who in the most times is being destroyed first...but later on u will be on dillema cause u need territories to complete the game..in this point u havent any best to do to attack Rohandont worry abou Misty Mountains Orcs they will be dead from the dwarves or from high elves or even Silvan Elves...and try dont give 2 much territories west of Eriador...some times High Elves wanna create the Kingdoms of the past

    If they aint dead in about 25-40 rounds you have been lazy

    Your strike force should be a stack made up by generals and archer's, then you will have no sweat (go dunedain! they often gone gold rank's by the end of that war)

    Someone should make a submod with a "Shire" faction.
    And lot's of little Hobbittsses...

    Sam with the One Ring and bearing a flaming sword , leading an army of Hobbits into Mordor where he overthrows the Dark Lord and turns the entire land into a beautiful garden...
