Cheating in Tournament Match

thought this needed a bit higher profile so a new thread is required for this one

well i thought i might just post a good example of one of the most appalling exploits ive seen - i really hate this exploit the most - i cant understand why people play like this - and this was a tourny game

little wonder i get so pissed at people who either play the game to cheat, exploit or play games in a very unsportsman like way.

he was on my friends but after this i think not.

yes - its the art limbered exploit - been around for ages - if you know someone from that dead LGA clan - ask them about how much i hate this - one of them tried it on noodles once - and believe me i raged the worst ive ever raged. i actually pulled the mouse out of noodles hand and ripped it out jack of the pc.

you should have seen the comments i posted in the game chat - and LGA wouldnt kick him from the clan - i bagged the crap out of them to everyone i knew

so ill be interested to see what this dudes clan m8s think of this game and whether they think this crap is acceptable

i am so dissappointed that someone i use to have alot of time for and play heaps with - could let winning at all costs get in the way of playing respectable and honest - to do it to people you call friends in an important game is soooo wrong. He is the leader of this clan so i doubt he will care to much but this clan is dead if even the leader plays like this. there is no honour in cheating. best of luck to guys in the future.

good game to HM Players who still won even with these guys been complete ahs - i would not have been able to control myself if i playing this game

OK everyone - id be really interested if you guys could have a look at some of the the sorta conversation between me and the guys who used the art cheat in that tourny game.

now some people might think im just an - but seriously having read this - do you think these guys did this by accident or do you think it was deliberate tactic

i know i get really pissed at exploiters and cheaters but i think i just want to go ballistic with rage when people just keep making BS excuses for there actions - this doesnt sound to me like they wouldnt do it agian given half a chance.

lmao - try unlimbering them - they then shoot things out the round hole at the front. btw how can u think 5 mins of units shooting at unlimbered art and not dying and wasting critical ammo while you get free shots is in someway similar to having a different flag. Yes both are cheats but hardly in the same league.

I didnt now that counted as cheating 2.i didnt see the Bug rule in the rules 3. if the game acctualy alows u to do that doesnt that make it allowed otherwise the game wouldnt do it(: 4. Its not like i used the flag glitch or something i just used that to be annoying didnt acctualy think we could win with that tactic just did it cuz didnt see any otherway to use my horse art

So what your saying is that your clan leader didnt bother to tell you that he would do that before the game started. or you have never seen him or anyone else in your clan do that in a game. and in reality your saying your quite comfortable that it be just swept under the carpet. well sorry in in my book you either accept cheating or you dont - i not deleting you because your a cheater - im deleting you because you fail to see the nature of someone who would resort to doing these things.

I have to say terminator...you seem to be making mass judgement based on one small instance... If you want to delete me thats your business; but I would like to see a replay where I behave dishonorably or cheat. Then I would like to see a comment where I condone cheating. Once you've found both of these (which you won't) then your decision will have made sense, as of now your deletion of all YG is just silly.

Im sorry, what your saying is because my teammate cheated, that automatically makes me a cheater also? The logic in that is completely flawed. If someone in HM (and I'm not saying any DO, because they don't) cheated while you were in a game with them, according to your logic, you would automatically be a cheater. This makes absolutely no sense. I never said what Nudedude did was okay. I didn't even realize he was doing it; if he had I would've stopped it. HM deserved to win the game, if not because of him breaking the rules, but because they outplayed us.
And since your throwing around accusations, that I, 1. Cheat, 2. condone cheating, put your money where your mouth is. I want you to find a replay of me cheating (and I have to be cheating it can't be my teammate), and find a comment of me condoning cheating. If you can't find these then you owe an apology to me and many other YG for making a mass judgement based on a single person. If you can't find these things, you should post a thread on this forum publicly apologizing to all YG (obviously not Nudedude) for throwing around false accusations and making the clan and all players in the clan look bad because of one members cheating. I don't want any excuses why you shouldn't be able to find these replays, because you've already said we're all cheaters, finding one of me cheating should be easy based on your logic.

There is one thing I hate more than anything: When one team beats another and then the losing team tries to get the technical victory by getting the other disqualified.

I think it was used as a deliberate tactic, but tbh I don't really see it as cheating.
It's clearly intended this way by CA (although a bit ill-conceived and overdone I must admit); therefore it's not a bug, and using it needs to be explicitly declared as an "exploit" beforehand.
He does have a point about you overreacting with you deleting all of YG from your list, but that's your choice.

in all fairness its a cheat - if CA where tying to compensate the time to deploy art whilst enemy was closing in to attack - more logical and realistic approachs could have been coded - i think it just a glitch and an exploitable cheat

its also been around for ages - so leaders of clans who want to be taken seriously dont do this - would you ever expect to see syno do this - i think not

and yes i always overreact in these sorts of things - because i play games to be competative and to play with friends - cheating is just abhorent to me - i would never do it and if HM noodles (my son) every played in an unethical or unfair way - i would uninstall and he would never play again till could afford his own setup. this may sound a little extreme but if he did it makes a mockery of the values and ethics ive tried to teach him - you may say - but its just a game - i say its a clear indication of one's moral compass - and if noodles did something like this - then im a failure.

good thing is - i know ive actually done a good job - noodles knows why you dont play like this and hes 12.

No, that's definitely unintended and using it a cheat.
I'd rather compare the invulnerable artillery to the pre-patch behavior of being able to form squares while in melee. It was clearly intended and no one was complained it was done.
Again, I do agree that limbered artillery is quite a bit too stable; but it's not like you can't stop your guys from shooting them (compare the flag glitch, against which there is nothing you can do).

I couldn't agree more with you about cheating in general, but be aware that there are always different positions on any subject (some people regard visiting a public forum website as cheating apparently ).

Also, be aware that calling people "cheaters" does not exactly promote a friendly gaming community either.
What gives the worse example for Noodles, me crossing a red light or you calling me a "ing head" for it in front of him?
Being less aggressive would be a good thing to teach him.

Noodles must learn what is right and what is wrong.

Once he can identify what is wrong, he should act upon it with violence.

lmao ive failed at that - i can only now teach him to be a good person now - hes already way to agressive lol - red belt martial arts - hes a also forward in both league and union teams for school and club for quite a few years now

@biggun - yep - it is strange but ive seen him defend injustice with a passion - but even at his age he is controlled and takes a minimalistic approach to resolving confict - i think that comes from having strong mentors in the sports activities he does.

sorry m8 if you find this offensive - but really - i wouldnt want to be involved in a clan who's leader couldnt see the gravity of cheating in any sort of game - not just a tourny game. and then do nothing but make excuses like it all CA's fault or i didnt know what to do with art or it was just an accident or its not like i used the flag glitch.

@ikcti its not about being punished by the tourny organisers - its about quite bigger issues - i feel proud to be part of the TW community and i will NEVER condone cheats or expoliters or anyone who thinks lame excuses to justify these actions are in any way valid.

Trust me if someone in HM used this cheat like he did in a game - they would be kicked - if not i would leave

as i recall - we did have someone in HM use a cheat once and he was kicked - no excuses were acceptable

well he is right - i do take this stuff way to serious - but i think the broarder TW community takes it quite seriuos too - yep sure he has said sorry blah blah - but then he starts making excuses like it all CA's fault for designing the game like this or he thought he would bring one piece of art but when the game started he couldnt remember what to do with it so he thought he would run it up and down the map or its not like he used the flag glitch.

As a HM clan admin and former leader of my own clan - i find his comments and blantent disregard of fairplay and failure to take responisblity for his actions by making excuses all rather disturbing and an insult to other players like myself who find cheating in any form totally unaccecpable.

I didn't ask for an apology because you're tarnishing YG's name I asked for an apology to the players who's names your unfairly tarnishing. Nudedude broke the rules, I never denied or condoned this and neither did they. But instead of taking it out on him you say ALL YG condone cheating. I tried to end this with that last post but if you honestly want to continue this for some reason, this is all I have to say on the matter.

1. Everyone should get a Mic and teamspeak
by doing this we can make it more fun to play together and communicate
2. Play games with the guys with shogun coming out i would like to have a clan
that got good teamwork
3. dont play alot vs the guys in the clan that just makes argues instead playing vs other clans together gives u better knowing of the guys in the clan and prob becomes friendships
4. Always when ure online and have time come to ts if u dont got the details ask the admins
