Alexander not updating rome to 1.9

Hello everyone, used the search function already but found no useful answer.

I recently aquired a copy of Alex. (white label edition).
Sadly the installation of the alex expansion does not update RTW to version 1.9. It does update a clean RTW 1.0 install to 1.5, strangely.

The effect is, that i can not start new campaigns and experience some other trouble in mods designed for the Alexander.exe. Classic "please select an item from the list"-failure.

Does anyone know how to convince the Alex-installer to correctly update RTW to 1.9? I already tried reinstalling a few times, please don't suggest that again.

the highest RTW patch is 1.5, i dont know if that helps.

As far as i know, the Alexander installation is supposed to update the entire RTW-Engine (Rome and Alex, maybe BI) to version number 1.9. So the 1.9 should display in the vanilla RTW options. In my case, it does not and produces errors.

No, RTW is 1.5, BI is 1.6, and Alexander is 1.9. Your RTW version is correct.
