Cannot Run RSII

Hi, I'm trying to run the mod on windows seven, and it doesn't seem to be having any of it.

I've patched up to 1.5, installed it away from program files, ran as administrator, and it still refuses to work.

The game will start, enter a screen saying 'Roma Surrectum', i will then hear a 'ding' noise from the computer and nothing else will happen. If I then alt tab to desktop, I can't go back into the game, and end up having to shut it through task manager.

Anyone got any ideas where I'm going wrong? I want to play the mod, but my computer seems to be quite firmly against it.

Did you also turn off UAC?

I deleted your 'bump' post as bumping is not allowed.

Yeah I've tried both things, and yes, I've turned off the account control. I'll try starting again entirely, see if it helps at all.

I figured bumping might not be allowed, but 20 days without a response and lots of views..
Would you prefer I made a new thread about it?

You may need to completely re-install RTW and RS2, incase there has been some corruption in something, if you havent done so already!
