    Default Suggestions

I dont know if ive posted this before, but here it goes.
After the kalmar union script for hordaland or vestfold the other faction spawns some stacks in iceland. As historically and according to sagas Iceland was formed by people disliking the unification of Norway
All this stuff is mentioned in heimskringla and i can probably find some quotes (from badly translated norwegian)

Edit: or even better make an emergent iceland faction which appears after the kalmar union script.

Another suggestion would be more factions No need for first release, but adding
    1 faction ireland (ulster?)
    1 or 2 scotland
    1 in france
1 in Norway (hålogaland or nidaros)
    1 in sweden
It would increase gameplay, but as i said i still love this mod to the death

hm, after all, one has to first look at the game(play) when it once is released (I hope soon)

but for a future version I agree - I for myself realy like to have a hughe variety of factions.

    for your proposals:

    1) ulster - maybe. first of all more irish factions would be cool, but one has to see if it then isn't too crowded (perhaps more regions then)
    2) scotland - I think - one is enough
    3) france - I definitely support that - the game now contains the east-franks y not inkluding the west-franks lateron (enlarging the map to south)
    4) norway - hm, it now seems that there's place enough in norway to add an additional faction up there, but same as with ulster: crowded? divided into more smaller regions?
    5) sweden - yap, there could be made an additional faction - perhaps with a connection to russia (northmen invaded not only britannia and northern france but parts of russia as well)

    and an additional proposal:

    6) saxons (in northern germany) - perhaps add a continent-saxon faction (not all saxons emmigrated to britannia)

but let's see, what danova created - I hope he releases soon. I can hardly wait!

Northern ireland is nto to crowded IMO neither is norway.
As for scotland it si to easy for it to conquer a lot of land and later steamroll the saxoons i guess

hm, scotland, perhaps not a "scotish" faction, but a nother different britonic/celtic one:

you see, west of northumbria: strath clyde/galloway or dalriada

The samis where never strong, nor united, and therefor didnt have any states.

Also they the majorety lived in Northeren Finnland and Southern Finnmark at that time.
I think they instead should be merceneries.

Yes, but it would still be cool for a weak faction Even if it is slightly ahistorical

The Sami people is represented as a spear mercenary unit.

Does anyone know when the Sami started to use the "jouksa" bow (a sort of longbow)? Apparently they were known as excellent bowmen.
Would be cool to have a unit that represents this (hunter/bowmen-unit).

jap, dalriada wasn't anymore at your timeframe.
my poin tof view was more like strath clyde

but as I said in the posts before: additional in a new version perhaps - first of all, I want to play and look if there are realy factions missing or if it is crowded enough.

but here for information if interrest:

little question (big amount of work ):

if danova has resources and will left, is there the possibility to create generic saxon/viking settlements?
I mean, the simple M2TW-ones fit somehow rather well, but not really.
they are mostly build of stone and half-timbered work, while in the times, the mod takes place, the inhabitants of the british isles used mostly simple wooden huts.

I've to admit, that this will be a hughe amount of work, but the results are worth it.
I, for myself, am a bit tired of fighting in the standard-medieval settlements.
I'm now glad that they are replaced step by step in TATW.

for the generic ones you could build the buildings like you used for the building-tree-cards.
and perhaps one or two custom settlements would be awesome as well!

I could imagine (out of the books): london - a roman stone fort with partly demolished stone-buildings inside and a wooden settlement surrounding it.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    just think about it!

but first release the version 1.0 - please
