    Default Speedfan reporting negative temperatures?

I'm getting a temp2 reading of -128C on Speedfan. All the other temps are about normal (30-35C, and it's a pretty hot day today). What's the deal with that?

Don't worry about it. It's just a bugged reading.

By any chance, are you running an AMD CPU with unlocked cores?

Ah, okay. So are the other readings reliable? That's my main concern.

And no, I have an AMD Phenom X4 955.

    Thanks for the response

Happens a bit here and there. Mostly with AMD CPUs after unlocking cores. As long as you're not cooling your computer with Liquid Nitrogen, you can safely ignore the -128c as a bugged reading. It usually is the default reading for null, or N/A. The rest are reliable though.

Yep, you normally get a reading like that when there is no sensor present, just ignore it.
